History Teaches

There is a belief by the secular world that people, in general, are good and the peaceful people will eventually make all people good.  Additionally, the belief states that good people, who are peaceful, will stop others from doing anything wrong against others.  This is called the "Good People Argument (GPA)".

History has taught us that it only takes a small percentage of people to cause not only good things in a society but unfortunately some very evil outcomes.  Additionally, even one person can affect the outcomes of many.

As Christians, we know that no one is good, but to the unsaved world, there is this belief of the Good People are present and they will make the world a better place if given enough time.  The information listed in this topic should show that even with good short-term gains by good people, history proves the GPA is not possible because there is a battle between Satanic Forces and God.

Romans 3:10-12 10 as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; 11 THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; 12 ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE."
(Capitalization is from the source text scripture and not done by this author in Romans 3:10-12.)

Political Correctness is Illogical

Political Correctness (PC), in a broad sense, means: to not say anything negative against specific groups of people or it is okay to speak negatively against all people in a specific group.  PC is a recently defined term but in reality, PC has always been in the world's history.   The PC belief system has been used to identify, take advantage of, subjugate, take into slavery or kill other groups of people.

As an example of identifying everyone negatively, a PC person might state first that all Nazis in WWII were evil people.  This same PC person might potentially go further and state that all Germans, in the 1930s through 1940s, were evil because of the Nazis in Germany along with the country of Germany starting a second world war and tried to kill all the Jewish people found.  While the first statement of the PC person was true, the second statement by the PC person is incorrect, wrong and applying the actions of the Nazis and a small group of German Leaders to the whole population of Germany.

In many countries that include the United States, PC has become a persistently used method of thinking and a manner of speaking about groups of people in the Media and Politics.  PC is not simply the absence or the openness of speaking positively or negatively about a group of people.  In a more defined sense:

PC is being used to excuse evil being done by specific groups because the majority of a specific group are peaceful.  The problem, that is being ignored by PC types of people, is the good people in a group are most likely never going to be able to stop the evil being done by the individuals in their group.  Edmund Burke stated "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."  Unfortunately, history has shown us that this happens over and over.

This author is not a PC person and this author is not stating that the whole group of people in a specific group are now to be consider negatively.  This author is pointing out that the ideas of PC are dangerous because peaceful people have largely proven to be irrelevant in stopping evil.

Peaceful People are Irrelevant to Stop Evil

Below are just seven examples of many, that should remind all of us that a small percentage of people are capable of causing catastrophic consequences.  This should teach us that vigilance against the forces of evil, that manifest themselves in leaders of countries and religions, are required to prevent horrific consequences.

Nazi Regime The overwhelming percentage of Germans, at that time of WWII, were peaceful people and only a small percentage of them, under Adolph Hitler, changed the course of the nation that caused the death of an estimated 51 million during World War II.  Of the 51 million deaths, there was an estimated 14 million in the Concentration Camps of which 6 million were Jews. The peaceful Germans were irrelevant.
Japanese Empire In the 1930s, the overwhelming percentage of Japanese were peaceful and yet under the imperialistic ideas, Japan began an invasion of Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific Islands that caused the deaths of an estimated 30 million people. Japan also had its Concentration Camps, like Taiyuan, where Chinese were systematically eliminated and used in medical experiments. The peaceful Japanese were irrelevant.
Communist Dictators of the Soviet Union The overwhelming percentage of Russians are peaceful people and yet the rulers of the Soviet Union have caused the deaths of over 60 million people in Russia and the countries that were part of the Soviet Union.  The peaceful Russians were irrelevant.
China under Mao Zedong and his successors The overwhelming percentage of Chinese are peaceful people and yet under Mao Zedong, an estimated 20 million to perhaps 45 million of their own people were killed or died from starvation along with those of surrounding countries that China was extending its influence.  The peaceful Chinese were irrelevant.
Muslims The overwhelming percentage of Muslims in the World are peaceful people.  Since the rise of the Islam religion there have been Muslim armies, such as the Moors, that invaded and killed many people in northern Africa, the Middle East and southern Europe.  In recent history there has been Muslim Radicals, est.5% of the 1.2 billion **, who are killing people because they are consider infidels, when they belong to a Christian Faith, Jewish Faiths, a different sect of Islam, and other perceived offenses. ** The peaceful Muslims were and are irrelevant.
Christianity The overwhelming percentage of Christians in the World are peaceful, yet throughout history there have been times when Christians, such as the time of the Crusades, when Christians caused the deaths of an estimates 3 million Muslims and Peoples who were considered non-Christians.  The peaceful Christians were irrelevant.  Note that is possible for a God loving person to believe they are doing God's work when it is evil because of Biblical illiteracy along with a person's own reprobate mind.  Christianity is mentioned because in the end times, Satanic Forces are going to use a false church as described in many passages such 1 Tim 4:1-2.  If you want to read more about other times that the church had wolves (Acts 20:29) in it doing evil, read Dave Hunt's book "A Woman Rides the Beast".
Uganda In the 1970s, Idi Amin was the President of Uganda.  The overwhelming percentage of people in Uganda were peaceful people. Idi Amin and his armies, caused rampant human rights abuses and deaths of an estimated 100,000 to 500,000 people.  The peaceful Ugandan people were irrelevant.
* Note that the death estimates are based on multiple sources
** This is based on Intelligence Agencies that state that these are Radicals that believe and condone killing based on deformation of Allah and/or verses in the Quran https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Violence_in_the_Quran

Statistical Estimate Example of Accountability

The statistics below illustrate and help us all to get an understanding of the scale of deaths, that can be caused when an evil motivated / intentioned small group of people ended up controlling the majority.  In the Table P1 shown below, of the four countries, the small group of people in a country forced the majority of people from the same country to be indirectly and directly responsible for large groups of people's deaths.  Philosophers may ask the question, "if the good people did not stop the bad people before the bad people took over, then does the actions of the bad people also mean the good people are also responsible because they did not initially stop the bad people?" The answer is not so easily answered.

To help us understand the figures in the table below, consider this example:

  1. Country "A" had a population of 10 people
  2. Country "A" has 2 people that decide to go to war against Countries "XYZ" for evil reasons.  The 2 people's decision forces the 8 other people in Country "A" into joining them.
  3. Countries "XYZ" have a total population of 20 people
  4. At the end of the war there are 12 people killed from both Countries "A" and Countries "XYZ".
  5. The statistical data gives for every 10 people of Country "A", the aggressor, then 12 people of Countries "A" and Countries "XYZ" were killed.
  6. The Deaths caused vs. population is 12 divided by 30 which equals 40% death rate.
  7. Therefore, Country "A" 's 10 citizens have caused a death rate of 40% with 12 people dead of the total population of 30.

In the above example, the significance shows us that a small group of people can cause the large group of people in a country to be indirectly and directly responsible for other groups of people's deaths.  As stated, in point #2, the two people forced the eight people of the same country to participate.

In light of the example given, consider the four examples' countries given below.  Their population is compared against the total estimated deaths caused from events surrounding the years before, during and after WWII.  According to the secular world views, the "so called good people" belief means the majority of people, in the country, should have been able to prevent what happened in history.

These examples are also illustrating the scale of significance on a colossal scale of how grossly wrong the belief that people are basically good where good people can always stop bad people.  For those who belief in the good people theory, in light of history of countries as shown below, then the believers of good people have to believe there was no good people in the countries at that time to stop what happened.  This obviously was not true.

Examples of four countries in recent history:

Country Year Primary Leader Estimated Population of Country at Start Estimated Deaths Caused Deaths Caused vs. Population of Country
Germany WWII 1939 - 1945 Adolph Hitler 68,000,000 51,092,700 75.14%

Jesus Christ Died for even the Greatest Mass Murder

It might be said that the greatest murderer in the history of the world thus far is Adolph Hitler with a close second in Mao Zedong.  As Christians, we need to understand the magnitude of the following statements:

  1. We need to trust God in His perfect plans that are against the Satanic Forces.  God has and always will make sure that those who would accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, did accept Him before their death during any war.
  2. There are also those God will take care of and give them an opportunity to accept Him based on the Age of Accountability.
  3. Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world because a payment was required for everyone of mankind except for Judas Iscariot.  This means everyone has the ability to be accept Jesus Christ as Savior for Salvation.

It is hard for many of us to try to understand that Jesus Christ paid for the sins of Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Idi Amin and countless others that caused the deaths of so many others.  If Adolph Hitler was a Believer, which there is no evidence, then even Adolph would be eligible for entrance to Heaven.

2 Corinthian
5:14-15
14 For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; 15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,

The eligibility given to everyone is by the payment by Jesus Christ on the Cross.  The Cross contains many parts, where Jesus Christ's payment on the Cross far extends past a mortal death with the scourging.  There was also a temporary separation from God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, which we will never be able to comprehend, where the agony of the full force of God the Father's wrath for every human being born sins was inflicted on Jesus Christ.  We sometimes forget that God is perfect and no one can go to Him that is not perfect, where our sins prevent us from His presence which is why we had to have a payment for our sins through Jesus Christ.

Psalm 22:1 My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Why are You so far from saving me, so far from my words of groaning?
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Christian Perspective vs. Secular Viewpoint

There is a hope by the secular world that the good people of the world will eventually prevail.  There is also the belief that the good people in the world can eventually cause the overwhelming majority of everyone that is bad to become good.

The secular goal is actually the goal of the Christian through Jesus Christ.  The difference is the secular world does not have any process to do so and Christians have the Prince of Peace.

Christians are to be loving towards one another no matter the country of origin, ethnicity, gender, age and culture.  The greatest loss of life, along with other forms of depravity, in the history of the world has always been country against country.  Mankind, from every continent in the world, has used beliefs of superiority based on differences in culture, ethnicity, language, etc. to rationalize the acceptance of very evil things.

Below are some scriptures references concerning how we should always see other people.  Additionally, the scriptures listed below and many others are an argument against evolution.

From the goals of the secular world view of the good people should make more good people, there is truth that points to the necessity for  Christians to be involved in matters of Politics.  The secular good people, as shown in history, are not able to do what is Godly.

The Satanic Forces, with their human emissaries, are always in direct opposition to God's Plans, where God expects His people to be involved in the matters of the world.  An example is in the book of Esther where she was reminded, Esther 4:14, that God had chosen for her the time to help Israel and if she didn't then God would choose another.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Mark 12:31 The second is this, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  There is no other commandment greater than these."
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Romans 2:11 For God shows no partiality.
Esther 4:14 For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this.

WWII Scale of Death less than Tribulation Period

WWII is known as the worst war in the history of the world.  When reading the Bible, it is hard to imagine the scale of human deaths as the result of the Tribulation Period's Anti-Christ and the Judgments of God against the part of world who have completely rejected God.  The topic of the "Good People" is additionally discussing WWII statistics to understand that when the Bible mentions the upcoming Tribulation Period's unbelievable calamities and death, then WWII is only a shadow of something far worse.  It is important to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and not be on the Earth during that future time.

These numbers were taken from the National WWII Museum link and some others that are listed below and split into two columns for estimating the German (and Italian) European Theater and the Japanese Asian Theater.  There were countries that lost military in both Theaters, which is not split because it is not known.  These numbers given by the websites are conservative based on other WWII Researchers estimates that yield higher numbers.

Notes on reading the statistics shown:

  1. Some countries only had deaths in the military.
  2. Some countries did not have any military deaths.
  3. The two "Total Estimated" columns includes military and civilian.  As an example, Albania only had 200 civilian deaths but an estimated 30,000 military deaths in the European Theater.

***** Some sources state that China may have lost as many as an estimated 50,000,000 in civilian deaths at the hands of the Japanese in WWII.

Can God be Found in Times of War?

The answer is absolutely "yes" which is discussed in the topic "war".   Many people are against all forms of having to kill another human being, even when it is a time of war.  One example often given by those against military actions is the use of the atomic bombs during WWII because the two bombs killed perhaps 200,000 Japanese civilians.  The following is a partial excerpt from the topic on killing and murder.

NOTE: This author does not have any satisfaction in writing about the horrible deaths that result in times of war, and find the subject very sad to have to write about knowing the suffering beyond words that have occurred throughout all wars in history.  My ability to even think about the subject causes me to grieve and look forward to seeing the way God handles the perpetrators of evil and rewarding the victims at the Judgment Seat of Christ and Great White Thrown of Judgment

It is interesting, and in this author's opinion done intentionally, that no history book or website gives the full explanation, that I could find, why the Atomic Bomb was most likely used.  General Douglas MacArthur and top American Military commanders estimated in a full-scale invasion of Japan, there would be approximately:
(i) 1 million American military personnel killed, AND
(ii) multiple millions of Japanese military and civilian deaths caused in the act of protecting their country of Japan.

Note that there is mentions in some sources, the bombing of Tokyo in 1945 that killed over 90,000 Japanese which preceded the Atomic bombs.  As another observation of this author, the bombing of Tokyo is equivalent to the Atomic Bomb usage.

Therefore, the atomic bombs represented the most humane outcome to quicken a surrender by Japan.  This author absolutely believes that that was in the minds of everyone involved in approving the use of the two atomic bombs, albeit maybe not said publicly.

Historical sources are quick to point out the bombs killed approximately 90,000 and 40,000 immediately in Hiroshima and Nagasaki with tens of thousands of deaths from radiation exposure later.  This is far less significant than multiple millions of Japanese deaths, with the million Americans, during a full-scale invasion of Japan!

On November 24th 2023, this author watched the movie Oppenheimer, and a thought about the atomic bomb city locations occurred to me that I have not read or heard anywhere.  It would have been far better to gamble with selecting areas more remote which could have still demonstrated the USA's ability to destroy cities for getting the surrender accomplished.  At that time in history, collateral human loss was unavoidable with the best bombing abilities, but the consideration of collateral human deaths should have been more considered where possibly it was considered.
