One of the many weapons used in espionage in times of war and also cold wars, is to use disinformation and propaganda with the intention of having enemies spend time, money and human resources on:
As one example of many, suppose there are two Countries "A" and "B" at war where Country "A" has a secret agent in the Country "B".
The solution to Country "B" 's problem is to put replies on the Blog Website that look like they are coming from Country "A" which has different contradictory instructions and false information to make the spy waste time on activities that are not helpful to Country "A". Country "B" will make the counterfeit Blog Replies in a very careful way to still make the secret agent believe the Blog Replies are coming from Country "A".
Lucifer is the father of lies and used deception to have 1/3 of the angels follow him, then he used it on Eve in the Garden of Eden. Lucifer, and those who follow him, are still using disinformation, lies and propaganda today to lead as many as they can away from God and the true salvation knowledge through Jesus Christ.
There are many religions and books, like the Book of Enoch, that are designed with this purpose of deception and disinformation. The Book of Enoch contain some historical information which is true and then a great deal of disinformation with the purpose of having the reader believe something that is not true along with attacking the Character of God and our relationship with God.

It has been noted by several prominent Biblical Scholars, that the way to lead people away from the truth of the scriptures, is to present other ways to supposedly reach God. The world has many religions that present themselves as being the truth and also have tenants that are admirable and worthy but the only religion in the world that states that mankind is incapable of reaching God by actions of their own is Christianity.
When the great Patriarchs gathered to evaluate a document and see if it inspired and worthy of being in the canon, then we know that God participated, guided and guarded the process. The proof is there when the 66 books of over 40 authors are harmonized along with encryptions being found by computer algorithms.

When we are children of the God of the Bible through acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Savior, then we will show works that prove our status to ourselves and others. Our Salvation is by Grace through acceptance and by nothing we do in our lives to work in earning Salvation, but the proof of our Salivation is works will be seen in our lives.

Many in Israel missed the prophetic date that their Messiah would present Himself "upon a colt" into Jerusalem, where the event was prophesized by Daniel the Prophet. In Matthew 23:37-39, Jesus Christ laments over this and imparts to them that now left their house desolate. We can feel Jesus Christ's emotion as he spoke that as a nation, since Israel did not recognize and believe all the signs, then collectively the nation would have "judicial blindness" but not forever. Israel still has many beautiful prophetic prophecies that will be fulfilled and duties in our future and the Millennial Kingdom.

God has always initiated the process of Faith that leads into desiring and obtaining Salvation, that included many of Israel during the time that Jesus Christ walked the Earth. It is not possible for the elect of God to be deceived, Matthew 24:24, but there are those who should have recognized the events that pointed to Jesus Christ being the prophesied Messiah. There were many in Israel and then the Gentiles who came to the Saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Prior to Jesus Christ's appearance, those who were righteous in Faith, went to upper Sheol (bosom of Abraham) to await the payment on the Cross. The purpose of the Tribulation Period is for Israel to recognize their Messiah and they will.
