Is there an Unpardonable Sin?

There is no sin that a Christian can commit that will prevent the Christian from going to heaven and spending eternity with God.  By the Christian's heart-felt and sincere act of asking Jesus Christ to be their Savior creates a seal and mark unto Salvation for us all that cannot be broken, stolen or lost.

It is impossible to lose Salvation.   There are sometimes five scriptural passages of

  1. Hebrews 6:4-8,
  2. Matthew 12:31,
  3. Deuteronomy 29:18-21,
  4. Revelation 3:4-5, and
  5. Exodus 32:30-34

that are mistakenly given as the possibility to lose Salvation.  See the topic on "Losing Salvation, is that possible?" to understand it is not possible to lose Salvation.

God also made provisions for those under the Age of Accountability, which includes those who are mentally incapable or mentally immature to make a Salvation choice, which is also a wonderful reassurance.  A beautiful example of Salvation is the Thief on the Cross, who at literally moments before death simply believed in Jesus Christ for Salvation, and received it.

The possible confusion in some Christian's minds is not understanding that Rewards in Heaven are in jeopardy for sins done in life, which can be very evil.  Unfortunately, Christians are often taught, or lead to believe, that everyone is equal in Eternity, and this is not true according to the scriptures.  This misunderstanding leads to some Christians thinking God is not fair, which is absolutely not true!

Someone who is a Christian who may do some very evil deeds, while alive, can experience:

at the Judgment Seat of Christ, but the person will still be in eternity because of Salvation through Jesus Christ.

This is an excerpt from the Perfect Unity topic:

We are told Angels rejoice when a sinner repents, where this author has even gone as far as to state that all of us while watching at the Great White Thrown of Judgment, will be sad to see even the most evil people in history be sent to the Lake of Fire.   This is possible for us, Angels and the emotional feeling of God because all of us will have perfect love, which as human-beings now do not know what is perfect love.

Along with perfect love is perfect justice which requires separation from evil that condemns all human-beings who did not have Salvation through the payment of sins from Jesus Christ.

Luke 15:7
Jesus Speaking
I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

For everyone, who is not a Christian, the act of denying and not accepting Jesus Christ as a person's Savior will prevent the person from entering into God's presence along with being in Heaven for Eternity.  There is no other way to get to Heaven other than through Jesus Christ.  Even the righteous of the Old Testament period, awaited Jesus Christ's payment for their sins.

Luke 13:22-30 22 And He was passing through one city and village after another, teaching, and proceeding on His way to Jerusalem. 23 And someone said to Him, “Lord, are there just a few who are being saved?” And He said to them, 24 Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. 25 Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin standing outside and knocking on the door, saying, ‘Lord, open up to us!’ and He then will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know where you are from.’ 26 Then you will begin saying, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets!’ 27 And yet He will say, ‘I do not know where you are from; leave Me, all you evildoers.’ 28 In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves being thrown out. 29 And they will come from east and west, and from north and south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God. 30 And behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.”
Hebrews 2:2-3 2 For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty, 3 how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard,
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

If you do not have Jesus Christ as your Savior then ask Him to come into your life now!

Is there an Unpardonable Sin for the non-Christian?

Yes, there is a sin that can be committed by a person who is not a Christian, which will prevent them from ever becoming a Christian with Salvation.  This is accepting the Mark of the Beast, during the Tribulation Period

Accepting the Mark of the Beast is an act that is an ultimate form of rejecting God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, which can only happen during this 3.5 year of 70th week of Daniel, which is known as the Mark of the Beast.

A Christian, by the intervention of the Holy Spirit, will never be put in a position to deny and accept the Mark of the Beast. The Christian would be killed during the Tribulation Period, as read in the Scriptures.

Can Salvation be Lost?

Once a person has obtained Salvation then it is impossible to lose Salvation.  After Salvation, all of us are working for Rewards in Heaven.

Excerpt from it is impossible to lose Salvation:

This author remembering hearing this analogy from R B Thieme perhaps 15 to 20 years ago on a radio program while driving to work.  Below is a paraphrasing of his analogy from memory the best that I can recall.  Consider these three points regarding Satan stealing your Salvation, which are very humorous:

  1. If Satan could steal your Salvation, then the question is why wouldn’t Satan just go ahead and steal your Salvation?
  2. The Believer who doesn't know God's promises would be wrongfully thinking that Satan just hasn’t got an opportunity to steal their Salvation
  3. If it were possible to lose your Salvation, but you make it to Heaven, then it could be said that it was by Satan’s good graces that he didn’t steal your Salvation and you owe Satan gratitude for not stealing it.

These three points are ludicrous as Satan cannot steal our eternal security!

Classical Objects against the Gospel

Excerpt from the classical objections against the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Most likely the primary two classical question against the Gospel and Jesus Christ are:

  1. What about someone, like the Pigmies in South America, who have never heard about Jesus Christ and therefore could not have accepted Him for Salvation?
  2. What about those who are killed in war, murdered or died as a slave before having a chance to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior?

Then there is often the three follow-up classical statements:

  1. It is not fair for these types of two groups of people, much less hardly anyone, to automatically go to Hell for not having Jesus Christ as their Savior.
  2. If there is a God then He would have fixed the evils in the world.
  3. What is going to stop any of us to do something like Lucifer did and sin in eternity?

What to read next?

What is Salvation?  We have eternal life Evolution is not real.  When a Christian suffers is there benefits from it.  Rewards in Heaven.  Do we Tithe?  What does the 3rd Commandment tell us?  What is Grace and Mercy?  Is there an Age of Accountability?  Is there a place of unending punishment and exile form God?
