The Mystery

It was the Apostle Paul's great privilege to announce a mystery that was planned and hidden from the foundation of the Earth.  In the scriptures, the term "mystery", means something that was hidden and now is revealed.

Ephesians 3:1-6 1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles— 2 Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, 3 that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. 4 In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. 6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

In the Old Testament period, Gentiles received Salvation without being part of Israel and also by becoming part of the faith of Israel.  Before Abraham, there was the priesthoods of Melchizedek, Jethro and unknown priesthood that Isaac will give a tithe to as referenced in Genesis 28:22.

The Start of the Period of the Gentiles

As Jesus Christ made His triumphal entry into Jerusalem to present Himself as the Messiah, which was fulfilling many highly detailed and precise prophecies, there one prophecy that Jesus Christ held Israel completely responsible for recognizing.  This was the day that was prophesied in the Book of Daniel which Gabriel had given the exact day to Daniel that the Messiah would present Himself, as the Messiah that would be "cut off", as describe in the Book of Daniel Chapter 9's 69 Weeks, which is proven in great detail in The Coming Prince.

Luke 19:37-41 37 And as he was now drawing nigh, even at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen; 38 saying, Blessed is the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. 39 And some of the Pharisees from the multitude said unto him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples. 40 And he answered and said, I tell you that, if these shall hold their peace, the stones will cry out.

41 And when he drew nigh, he saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, If thou hadst known in this day, even thou, the things which belong unto peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. 43 For the days shall come upon thee, when thine enemies shall cast up a bank about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 44 and shall dash thee to the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Romans 11:25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Note: "this mystery, brothers" is another truth that is being revealed.

After Pentecost in Acts 2, the period of the Gentiles began and it will have an end at the Rapture of the Church before the 70th week of Daniel begins.  The 70th week of Daniel is also known at the 7 years of the Tribulation where the last 3.5 years are the when the Judgments form God begin.

The End of the Fullness of the Gentiles

As heard from many Biblical Scholars, there is a time when God will have the number of people on the Earth that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, which will mark the end of the Fullness of the Gentiles.  At this point the Rapture will happen, and one of the next events is the revealing of the Antichrist, which was being held back by the Holy Spirit until the appointed time.

The following are excerpted parts of the Tribulation Purpose:

With all of the history of Israel as a people and as a nation, the world cannot explain how Israel exists with all of the multiple genocide attempts.  In fact, if Israel as a people had ceased to exist, then the Bible can be dismissed as a myth.  The current regathering was predicted in many, many scriptures such as Isaiah 11:11-12 and Ezekiel 37:11-25.

Before the Great Tribulation, the city of Jerusalem will be possessed by others until the time, known as the Dispensation of Grace / Time of Gentiles, will be fulfilled.

Isaiah 11:11-12 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, that shall remain, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12 And he will set up an ensign for the nations, and will assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led captive into all the nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
