God Knows our Thoughts and Assists Us

God knows our thoughts and the Holy Spirit aids us in our moment by moment walk in life, even when we do not ask for God's help.  When we do ask for assistance, knowledge, discernment and so much more through Prayer, at that exact moment, God becomes involved as discussed on the topic of Prayer.

When we ask Jesus Christ to be our Savior, which is Salvation., then the Holy Spirit immediately indwells inside of us to give us the power through His guidance where we can have many benefits such as:

As a Christian, participating in any sinful action is a choice, which results in an action of squelching the Holy Spirit's guidance.  Before becoming a Christian, we did not always have the power, insights and protection to overcome temptations, and in fact were often powerless to overcome our worst specific areas of weaknesses.

There are many scripture examples that show God knows our thoughts.  Here are just a few scriptures:

  1. In Genesis 18, there is a Theophany appearance of the Lord with two Angels where during the event, the Lord is talking inside of Abraham's tent.  While the Lord is speaking to Abraham, inside the tent, Abraham's wife Sarah is listening from outside of the tent by the entrance.  Sarah secretly laughs to herself in verse 12 to a comment by the Lord where she denies it in verse 15, but the Lord knew her thoughts and tells Sarah that He knew she laughed to herself.
  2. In Matthew 9, Jesus Christ heals a paralyzed man where there were those watching, who were speaking to themselves against Jesus Christ forgiving the paralyzed man's sins.  Jesus Christ, knowing their thoughts, ask them a question and then heals the paralyzed man after the forgiveness of sins.
  3. Psalm 94:11 and Psalm 139:2 informs us that our thoughts are known by God.
  4. God knew the secret thoughts of Lucifer, when Lucifer desired to be like God as read in Ezekiel 28:11-19 and Isaiah 14:3-23.
Genesis 18:11-15 9 Then they said to him, “Where is Sarah your wife?” And he said, “There, in the tent.” 10 He said, “I will surely return to you at this time next year; and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent door, which was behind him. 11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in age; Sarah was past childbearing. 12 Sarah laughed to herself, saying, “After I have become old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?” 13 And the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, when I am so old?’ 14 “Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” 15 Sarah denied it however, saying, “I did not laugh”; for she was afraid. And He said, “No, but you did laugh.
Matthew 9:1-8 1 Getting into a boat, Jesus crossed over the Sea of Galilee and came to His own city. 2 And they brought to Him a paralyzed man lying on a stretcher. And seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man who was paralyzed, “Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven.” 3 And some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming!” 4 And Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why are you thinking evil in your hearts? 5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 6 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—then He *said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, pick up your stretcher and go home.” 7 And he got up and went home. 8 But when the crowds saw this, they were awestruck, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
Psalm 94:11 The Lord—knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.
Psalm 139:2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.

This is two excerpts from the Possession and Oppression topic:

Fallen Angels Eidetic and Read Minds?

Many Biblical Scholars speak about Angels having perfection in many ways that include perfect recall or memory, which would have been used to honor God and most likely will be a gift for us in eternity.

We are given scriptures that describe eternity past where Lucifer, at one point, was the anointed Cherub who led praise and worship in Heaven.  As human beings, our memories fade for many reasons that include time and age.  This apparently is not a problem for Angels, which includes Fallen Angels.

When doing research into Séance, which is prohibited for Christians because it is consulting Fallen Angels and Demons, there is reports of factual information coming out of the Séance that sometimes gives details on people in the past along with geographical information that no one at the Séance could have known about.  There is also the cases of Clairvoyants consulting on criminal Police investigations that actually yield helpful information.  This demonstrates the Satanic Entities, that are participating, have the ability to deliver with great details anything that they have memory, albeit limited.  Of course, there is also a great deal of deception and false information given in a Séance for the destruction of those involved.  It is mixing truth with deception.  Note that there is a science called Remote Viewing, which is a form of a Séance in this author's opinion.

We do not know what mechanics in terms of the biology that occurs when a Fallen Angel or Demon possesses someone or tries to oppress someone.  The question can be can asked if they can read someone's thoughts?  As discussed in the last section of this topic called "Thoughts Given that are Not Ours?", we discover that the scriptures state it is:

There is a remaining point to consider.  God assigns Guardian Angels to those who have or will obtain Salvation.  These Guardian Angels are with us and combating against the Satanic Forces around us.  A Fallen Angel will study people's reactions for signs of weaknesses so that they can be exploited.  In our human capacity to understand, think and recall, we still are no match for the intellectual prowess of a Fallen Angel.  The Fallen Angels will know our weaknesses and also be able to read our reactions to temptations to plot our potential for doing wrong.

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Thoughts Givens to Us that are Not Ours

Regarding Demons and Fallen Angels, they can try to influence a person's:

  1. Desires,
  2. Actions, and
  3. Thoughts

by

  1. Speaking into our consciousness,
  2. Giving us emotional and physical sensations.

We all are familiar with times that a thought enters our mind that we did not know where it originated from.  Many times, it is our subconscious mind reminding us about an appointment, recalling the answer to a question we asked ourselves earlier or simply the process of thinking about anything; but there are times when a thought comes into our mind that did not originate from ourselves.

There are occurrences in which:

Biblical Scholars have stated that often the portal for a Godly influence is the ear and Carnal portal influence comes from what we see.

Positive
Proverbs 20:27 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
Isaiah 30:21 Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live.
Romans 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me
Negative
Genesis 3:6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
2 Samuel 11:2
Bathsheba
It happened, late one afternoon, when David arose from his couch and was walking on the roof of the king’s house, that he saw from the roof a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful.

There are many examples in the scriptures that illustrate the capabilities of Satanic Forces regarding the ability to influence thoughts and even manipulate:

Matthew 16:22-23 22 Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, "God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You." 23 But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's."
Mark 1:23-26 23 just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,  24 saying, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” 25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” 26 throwing him into convulsions, the unclean spirit cried out with a loud voice and came out of him.
Mark 16:9 Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.
Luke 22:3 Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve.
Romans 1:24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
1 Corinthians 5:5 you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.
