Jesus Christ had Legal Claim

Jesus Christ had legal claim in the Royal Bloodline in three ways:

1. Through Mary because of the exception granted in the Torah for the Daughters of Zelophehad,
2. By Joseph, and
3. From God the Father.

Notes:

• Joseph, the legal father of Jesus Christ, had his blood lineage go through Solomon and then later through Jeconiah which had the Blood curse of Jeconiah. pronounced on it.
• The bloodline of Mary, did not have a blood curse because Mary's lineage with through another son of King David named Nathan and then goes down to Heli.  Many scholars point out that Jesus Christ's can have a claim to both the Bloodline and the throne of King David without the blood curse because Joseph became the son by law through Heli.
• For Christians, there is the well-known retort that Jesus Christ asks the Pharisees which shows the lineage of Jesus Christ is from God and also has the Pharisees unable to answer Jesus Christ question as read in Matthew 22:45.  In Psalm 110:1, King David is writing about the future King, who will come from lineage and will be after the "order of Melchizedek".  The Pharisees knew that the "Christ", which means Messiah, would come from the Tribe of Judah and would be of the lineage of King David.  In Psalm 110, King David is writing about his Lord that is part of David's lineage, which is the retort that the Pharisees had no answer to Jesus Christ's question.

The lineage of Jesus Christ according to Luke and Matthew is shown later in this topic, which illustrates both the lineage of Jesus Christ through:

• King David's son Solomon, and
• King David's son Nathan (no blood curse on this lineage.)

Additionally, notice that Joseph became the adopted son of Heli according to Jewish law established with the agreement with the Daughters of Zelophehad.  This is shown in the scripture: Luke 3:23 According to many Biblical Scholars such as Lacmann, Tischendorf, Tregelles, Alford, Westcott and Hort: Joseph is adopted son of Heli by the law of Daughters of Zelophehad.  

Understanding of the Adoption of Joseph by Heli

Heli, according to Biblical Scholars, only had one daughter so he adopts Joseph so that Heli's inheritable items can flow to Joseph and Mary. 

In the Jewish Talmud, which is amongst other things does not recognize Christianity is legitimate, there appears to be a reference to Mary being the daughter of Heli.  There is an external source albeit not doctrine, that is very interesting, that appears to reference this event.

In Luke 3:23 the phrase "so it was thought" which means, people thought Jesus was the son, where the phrase indicates that it is not what it seems to be.  We know from John 8:41, the Pharisees were ridiculing Jesus of being an illegitimate child.  In Mark 6:3, the Jews said "son of Mary" which is an insult.  In the Psalms, Jesus was also tormented as a small child as being illegitimate.  The second part of the verse 23, in the Greek, the word is nomizo which is a legal term as a legal custom, indicating Heli was asserting himself as a legal father for Joseph (more on this point shortly). 

Two Proof Points:

• If the Pharisees were keenly aware of Jesus' father was not Joseph, and of course they didn't recognize God the Father as being His biological Father, then everyone would have also known that Joseph was adopted by Heli by the law of the Daughters of Zelophehad.
• Additionally, it would make absolutely no sense for Matthew and Luke to have their Gospels show different lineages with the same end-parent of Jesus Christ if it wasn't correct. The original Gospel manuscripts being sent around for reading would have been torn up as mistakes.

Israel throughout history, if they found any mistakes in Torah and Tanach documents, then they were destroyed because of the very high-level veneration for Scripture.  As known by historians, the first century church copied these Gospel letters and sent them out where hundreds of people knew Mary and Joseph personally along with understanding the lineage adoption so there was no mistake.

The complete and logical proof for the Royal Bloodline:

• There are other Scriptural references concerning the problem with the blood curse, Daughters of Zelophehad.
• Seed of the Woman prophecy of Genesis 3:15.
• The woman's name is never used in a Jewish genealogy.
• The two instances in the lineage, before King David that illustrate God use of special circumstances on handling the bloodline with:
  (a) Judah's intercourse with Tamar, a gentile, in Genesis 38:12-26 that gave the son Pharez or Perez, and
  (b) Boaz selecting Ruth, a gentile wife in Ruth 4:13 that gave the son Obed.
  Both of these two show the beauty of God's Word.

Regarding the Seed of the Woman prophecy of Genesis 3:15, notice that there is the reference of "Her Seed" which is anatomically incorrect but absolutely precise because of the action of Joseph being adopted through the rules of the Daughters of Zelophehad.  Also, we know that more importantly Jesus Christ's Father is God the Father.  This Genesis reference is pointing to the Seed line of Mary through Heli. 

When looking at the two lineages, there is a departure with the descendants of King David.  Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, has her lineage traced through Nathan and this bypasses the Curse of Jeconiah.  This is also why there is the virgin birth which was also prophesied in Isaiah.

Lastly, before you look at the Lineage Table, consider the prophecy in the Book of Daniel concerning the time when the Messiah would present Himself to Israel on Palm Sunday.  Many great Biblical Scholars have said, if Jesus Christ is not the Messiah, then who was the Messiah that had to appear on that specific day to fulfill the prophecy that Angel Gabriel gave to Daniel?   See this link on The Coming Prince.
