Time is a physical property of the fourth dimension in our Universe that occurs based on mass, speed and gravity as described in the famous equation E=mc².
God lets us know in many Scriptures some of His attributes, thoughts, ways, love, abilities and of course requirements for having a relationship with Him. God inhabits eternity and eternity is where He has always been.
God exists:

As stated at the start of this topic, Time is a physical property of the fourth dimension in our Universe that occurs based on mass, speed and gravity as described as part of the famous equation E=mc². We need to understand from many Scriptures, that God created the Universe and when the creation occurred, then time began because of the mass, speed and gravity of objects in the Creation. Time, in terms of Eternity before the universe was created will be discovered when we are with God.

Topic: There are some frontiers of science that are now proposing that the known universe is a subset of a larger reality. There are many theories such as those spoken about in this article from www.UniverseToday.com ** that raises the possibility of a larger reality. In Job 38, God is giving Job a science lesson and in the verses of 19 through 20, God is telling Job that:
In the Christian realm of scientists, which can be backed up from scriptures, we are told that the universe is a small subset of the Kingdom of God. Notice in Revelation 11:12 "Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on." Notice that the enemies could see heaven and the two witnesses ascending into heaven which means it is always there and just not viewable unless God intends it to be. Also, in Job 38, the scripture points out that the Angels shouted for joy in the creation of the Earth and the Stars. Additionally, as discussed earlier in this topic in 2 Peter 3:10 -13, we know that the universe is going to destroyed and a new one will be created, which means there is a larger reality for the subset of the universe to be destroyed and recreated. ** From publications, the theory of traveling through a worm hole requires "unknown exotic materials" to stabilize and technology that mankind does not possess. |
As stated above and reiterating: God is not subject to time as God exists outside of time and eternity. God exists outside of His Creations.
This analogy has been given wonderfully by Chuck Missler on many of his Biblical Studies. In our modern world of computer software, there is a somewhat clumsy but still adequate analogy to describe mankind. Computer software has no mass and consists as values stored in a media device that can be transferred. Software is not subject to time but the media device, that it is stored on, is subject to physical constraints such as time and decay. If more software is added to the media device, the media device does not gain any weight / mass. If software is deleted/removed from the media device, the media device does not become less in weight.
Mankind is made up of a physical body, a soul and a spiritual body. The soul is our intelligence, emotions and memories. The soul, is somewhat analogous to computer software. The media device that our soul resides in, is both the body and also in the spirit.

God gave us the third part which is the spirit, which is often described as the inner man or inner being.

Because God gave us three parts and mankind is made in God's image, when our physical bodies die, then we are still alive because of spirit body. This is what separates us from Animals. We do not understand the design of the spirit body that God gave us but we know we are made in God's image, Genesis 1:27. Since God is not subject to time and inhabits eternity, our spiritual body and soul are not subject to time either. This is why mankind is immortal. The decision is where we will be spending eternity? Is it Heaven or the Lake of Fire?
The scriptures are replete with descriptions of God. "Ancient of Days", in Daniel 7:9, points to God existing in the beginning of days. God informs us that He is the "First and the Last", which means God has always existed and there is no other god.
From Isaiah 57:15, we learn that God exists in Eternity which means there is no beginning of God as there is never nothing and nothing cannot exist because God has always existed. This is beyond our grasp to fully comprehend and we will have to wait until we see Him as He truly is to possibly begin to understand.

In the scriptures, there several places that identify God as a Trinity and with one of the names "I AM". This holds more significance than we could possibly understand because this is stating God is Eternal without a beginning and without an ending.
When Moses went up on the top of the Mountain of God, in Exodus Chapter 3, Moses saw the burning bush that was burning but the bush was not consumed. The thorn bush, that was burning, symbolizes sin where the bush was not being burnt. The symbolism of the thorn bush is sin in humans is continuous, and the fire is God the Holy Spirit, as read in many scriptures, where the fire exists with nothing required as a source.

Before seeing the Burning Bush, in Exodus 3:5-6, we should recognize the point that God is telling Moses that his forefathers are still alive, in Upper Sheol, even though their physical bodies were dead. Notice the present tense of the the phrase "I am God of your father, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob", where God is not using the past tense such as "I was the God of your forefathers". God repeats that "God is I AM" in Exodus 3:15. This also implies God is the God of all people even if God is not recognized.
In John 8:54-59, Jesus Christ is also stating that He is the "I AM" of the burning bush of Exodus Chapter 3. It is also worthy of note that Jesus Christ did not phrase the information of Abraham in the past tense that also implies Abraham is still alive in Upper Sheol. Also, the Pharisees also recognized that Jesus Christ was also stating that Abraham knew him, where the Pharisees with anger challenged Jesus Christ's age in verse 57. Note that the "not yet fifty years old", is the age of retirement for a Rabi, where it is interesting that in a small way the Pharisees were recognizing Jesus Christ in the role of a Rabbi even if the Pharisees did not endorse Jesus Christ in any role or title.
