Emotions, can you trust them?

There is a very good, popular and best-selling book from James Dobson called "Emotions can you trust them", which gives a great deal of very good advice to those people who are in situations that require guidance on making anything from small decisions to very critical decisions where emotions should not be the primary factor.  This topic, entitled "Emotions are not to be trusted" is approaching the human side of emotions from a different perspective. 

The short answer to the question of "Emotions, can you trust them?" is absolutely not even if when the emotions are very strong.  This statement needs to be reemphasized over and over in our minds so that we are reinforcing our thoughts to always remember to use logical decisions that are not based on emotions.  Generally speaking, our thoughts processes tend to always first think in terms of desire, sadness, compassion and love where these emotions should align with the logical choices and decisions that are possible on any choice.
